Truk Lagoon Sidemount Group June 2020

Steve Davis - San Francisco Maru, Truk Lagoon

Steve Davis - San Francisco Maru, Truk Lagoon

We are super excited to be working with Pete Mesley’s Lust4Rust to have a sidemount group join his June 2020 trip to Truk Lagoon, Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia.

Truk Lagoon was a major Japanese supply base during World War II and the site of a major battle on Feb 17 & 18, 1944. Dubbed Operation Hailstone, the American Pacific forces attacked the ships anchored in Truk Lagoon resulting in the sinking of over 60 ships along with numerous aircraft. It is literally a wreck diving mecca and widely regarded as one of the top dive locations in the world.

Truk affords great diving for all levels from recreational open water to 70m+ penetration dives. For our sidemount group the requirement is sidemount specialty certification although tec sidemount, decompression and wreck certification will open up many more dives to you. There will be full sidemount support including modular DIN valves and I will personally be available to assist.

Pete Mesley’s Lust4Rust literally runs the best wreck diving trips in the world. His reputation is built on meticulous planning and service, catering to every need of his customers while ensuring safety including having a hyperbaric diver/physician on every trip.

Check out the video below of my 2018 trip to Truk and also the Speaking Sidemount podcast episode on Sidemount Diving Truk Lagoon here

Feel free to contact us with any questions and also to book directly with Pete Mesley quoting the “Steve Davis Sidemount Group”
